Beginning of the End

Daren rolled his shoulders as smoke literally rolled off his body. He stretched his muscles as if testing their feel for the first time.
Heaven was so different from earth. He wasn't referring to the typical vision of heaven that so many humans believed in, he was talking about the feel of that plane. It was so much lighter than earth, and time past by in slow motion as far as he could tell.  How long had he been gone? It seemed an eternity to him, and it wasn't because of the time difference.
He'd been away from Eireka for too long. He cursed her for being his fixation during the entire "reprograming" session Raphael gave him. The pain wasn't even the worst part of the torture, it was the thoughts that arose in his mind.
While he was here, Eireka was unprotected. He didn't know if he would be able to get out,  much less find her before they did.
You shouldn't care for her,Daren. She is the enemy.
Indeed she was. And a part of him cringed at his readiness to go back to her. But he promised her he would be back, and for whatever reason, Daren found himself focusing on her signature. Doing so caused a dull ache begin to grow in his head. The side effects of his escape were beginning to take effect. . . he had little time to waste in locating Eireka.
"Well, well. Daren, I thought you better than this." Raphael's deep voice thundered behind him, bringing Daren to jump around to face him. The quick movement made him wince as his golden eyes started down Raphael's green ones.
"You would think, killing one of your bretheren would cause you grief. But here you are, join back to the whore. She's your destruction, Daren. Why do you pursue sin?"
That was one question even Daren couldn't answer. He had never before felt anything. Before Eireka, he followed his commands without a single hesitation, his sights fully set on serving. Since she appeared in his life, he found himself questioning the most simplest demands of heaven.
"You will not understand, brother. I do not wish to harm you, but if you chose to pursue me, I will not hesitate to kill you." Daren's voice did not quiver in the slightest. It held just as much authority and confidence as it did when he was in command of his force.
Raphael's gaze held no emotion as he stared into the eyes of one of his most talented pupils. He knew, deep inside, that Daren would fall. And if he chose to find the demon Eireka today, he would seal his fate and that of the entire world.
"You know the consequences of your actions Daren. Should you continue down this path, I will have no choice but to act. You are still in time, brother, chose the path God has forged for you." And with that, he was gone without a trace. Daren stood there for the longest time, contemplating the words of his old teacher.
And still, knowing what lay for him and knowing well what his fate would be if he searched for Eireka, Daren set his sights for her location.

  1. The apartment was almost always empty nowadays. When Eireka first "moved in" to it, she threw a party practically every weekend and maybe a few in-between during the week days. It was a way of keeping Daren's welfare off of her mind but as the days went by and his absence elongated, bitterness began to cloud Eireka's mind. In her anger, the demoness had climbed into bed with another male just to spite the beautiful angel who once loved her.
All it took was that one night. Eireka never felt so filthy before, so guilty, in her life.
Many times Eireka considered leaving. It wasn't her home, she wasn't obligated to stay there. Yet, despite her growing hatred for the angel, Eireka was hesitant to lock up the place for good. It would mean more than just abandoning a small, beautifully furnished apartment and it was frustrating how much Eireka couldn't bring herself to cut ties with anything and everything concerning Daren. Even after his scent was no longer prominent, it didn't stop Eireka from sporting his jacket he'd given her whenever she went out.
Eireka went out a lot. Most of the time she wouldn't return to the apartment for several days' time.
It wasn't smart to stay in one place for too long anyway. Regardless of the fact that Eireka now quite literally had a friend in high places, no one would simply give up hunting a spawn of Lucifer and Lilith's and expect everything to go well. During the entire course of Daren's absence, Eireka only had to outrun only one archangel (not an easy feat and by no means painless, either). It was the first time since Daren's departure that the thought of him possibly betraying her sprang up and plagued Eireka's mind like a weed. Three people fell siege to Eireka's wrath that very same day.
It had been almost two weeks since then and why on fucking earth Eireka was returning back to the apartment was beyond her. To find closure? She had attempted that multiple times before only to be sucked back into the fruitless inclination that Daren would return. More than once, there was a somewhat aching hope that he'd be there when she would open the door and this whole goddamn mess would be over and done with.
If Daren wasn't there now, Eireka was going to burn the fucking place down and wipe her hands clean of the angel.
If he was (and he wouldn't be, it was pointless to think otherwise), the desire to either sock him a good one or fuck the shit out of him, apocalypse be damned, raged equally with one another. Socking him a good one sounded more satisfying, actually. Socking him SEVERAL good ones sounded even better. Oh yea, if Daren was there, he was in for the biggest "greeting" of his life.

  2. Daren's golden gaze traveled around the apartment. It had been. . . so long. His presence was gone from the place, overcome with Eiereka's. Her scent was everywhere, filling his senses, driving him absolutely mad. How she could have such a hold on him, he didn't know. But just the thought of her being here alone, spending endless nights probably cursing his existence. The corners of his mouth twitched as he tried not to smile. He neared the kitchen, seeing countless bottles of alcohol littering the counters. Most of them were empty. No, she wouldn't brood over him, of course she would live life to the max. How many parties had she thrown?
Another thought crossed Daren's mind. It brought a bitter taste with it, and anger threatened the corners of his mind. How many men. . . had she brought into his home?
Flashes of his torture came to life in his mind.
_You will not fall into sin, Daren. . ._ His hands clutched his head as he tried to shake them away. But they were prominent inside. They hung to him, never letting him forget what it meant if he pursued his demoness.
_You know the consequences of your actions Daren. Should you continue down this path, I will have no choice but to act. You are still in time, brother, chose the path God has forged for you._
"But I love her. . ." He whispered as if in response to his mentor. He could not live without Eireka now. He had killed, fought, crawled his way out of heavens fortress for her and he had no idea how that was even possible. The only thing that got him through it was the thought that he had to get to her, see her one more time. Hold her. . . The sound of keys slipping into the locks of the door brought his full attention to it. His heart pounded desperately in his chest as it felt it would jump out in anticipation of seeing her. It seemed time moved painfully slow and he couldn't hold it in anymore. He had to be with her, now. His body moved before he knew it and swung the door open.
His soft honey eyes met those of her cool ocean gaze. Utter shock lined her features as if she couldn't really believe he was there.
"Eireka." Her name felt good against his lips. God, finally. . .

  3. What. The. Fuck. That was all that Eireka could think of when the door had burst open to reveal the impossible. A buzzing filled Eireka's head; she almost missed it when Daren uttered her name as if in prayer. What didn't phase her, however, was the angel's shameless step forward as his arms were held open with the promise of an embrace.
So before Eireka could be swept away into the moment of this apparent miracle, she clenched her hand into a fist and landed a solid right cross punch into Daren's cheek.
He swayed only slightly at the impact, which was even more infuriating considering how badly Eireka's hand throbbed but she disregarded it all the same. She intended to give every bit of her attention to the damned angel.
"What the HELL, Daren?" Eireka bellowed, pushing past the nostalgic and aching feeling of his name upon her tongue. "Jesus fuck, do you know how LONG it's been since you flew your sorry angel ass out of my life?"
"Eireka," Daren appeased, his hands slightly raised in defense and a wry smile threatening to form at the corners of his lips. Those goddamned perfect, luscious lips. "Let me explain-"
She hurled a left hook right at his chin. "Weeks! Does your angel brain even COMPREHEND time? You could've done me the courtesy of letting me know you were alive at least!"
    "I know, Eireka, I'm sorry, but I-"
"Oh, you're SORRY!" Eireka scoffed. The way Daren kept saying her name, over and over again, and at every chance he could did nothing to quell the pit of fire churning within the demoness. "Well I hope you're also sorry that you RUINED sex for me - do you know how long it's BEEN since I got laid that ONE time you were gone?"
A flash of something akin to anger and surprise consumed the smoldering gold of Daren's eyes and no, he was NOT allowed to feel possessive right now. "What-?"
Those captivating eyes were diverted skyward as Eireka hit him hard with an uppercut punch. "Oh, DON'T start! I don't need any more reason to feel guilty for stabbing you in the back. In fact, as far as I can see, the one who's done the greatest backstabbing has been YOU."

  4. She didn't even give Daren enough time to even grunt a reply. At this point, Eireka was on the verge of hysteria as she laughed at his dumbfounded expression. "Boy, did they send the 'PERFECT' angel to finish the job for your archangel buddy; I should've just let the bastard kill me if I knew you were gonna-"
"What?" The room boomed with the power of Daren's voice and blanketed the whole apartment in thick air of angelic energy. It was altogether breath-taking and it was no exaggeration that Eireka was at a loss for words. In the blink of an eye, Daren's hands were like heavy feathers upon the demoness's shoulders as he brought their faces mere inches apart. If Eireka was left open mouthed before, the sight of Daren's all encompassing honey hued eyes left her simply stupefied. "What archangel? Were you injured? Are you alright?"
There would've been a snarky reply to that idiotic question like, yea, you fucking angel, no thanks to you, but that never left Eireka's mouth. Few things there were in this life that people could fake, but dread was not one of them. That hit home harder than anything else that had happened within the past few minutes.
Eireka turned her head away; the gold was starting to burn into her eyes. "Let me go."
The abrupt soft tone in her voice only seemed to further Daren's anxiety. "... Eireka-?"
"Let me go before I punch you again in that pretty face of yours."
The angel's hold on her loosened slightly, giving the impression the command almost pained him to concede to, and let his arms fall lamely to his sides. Like the coward that she was, Eireka never met his gaze and turned vehemently away back towards the open door with a huffed, "Going for a walk. DON'T follow me."
She didn't stop to check and see if Daren had even heard.

  5. Daren watched helplessly as Eireka walked out, his heart wretched when she slammed it shut. He stood there in silence, watching the door as if she would come back. . . but he knew better. And it hurt.
Not so much the good hits she gave him, but it hurt that she had suffered so much with his absence. And now she tells him that she was attacked by an archangel? He could have cursed then. . . And it only got worse, she actually thought _he_ was capable of having sent the angel. Those judging eyes of hers had born into him with such conviction.
He leaned on the wall by the entrance, staring up at the ceiling, counting the little spots from the design. Anything, to keep him from running right after her and begging her for forgiveness. It seemed like a brutal eternity before he convinced himself that a ten minute head start might be enough to calm her. It was a foolish notion, she was such a hothead she would probably hate him from here on 'til the end of time.
After a bit of debate, he decided to restrain himself further. Maybe. . she needed more time. . . right? Reluctantly, Daren decided to take a shower and change clothes. They were still torn from his earlier escape and if he was going to go out, he had to blend in and not look like he'd just been beat the hell out of. . . which is actually exactly what it felt like.
His movements were slow and pained as he stripped and stepped into the shower. Now that the ''excitement" had passed, he felt his body protesting in every way. He didn't dare look down. He knew the marks that now marred his body would only remind him of the "punishments" he was given anytime he showed even a minute sign of sin. His brethren were relentless in his reformation. They had a right to be. The entire world rested on his shoulders and he was willing to damn it all to hell for the demon he now knew he loved. It was just . . . ironic.
Hot water washed over his body, bringing a welcomed relief to some of his pain. . . funny, before Eireka, he rarely felt anything. He remembered when he'd first met her, he mind had been made up to kill her where she stood. But she changed that, hadn't she? Her cocky demeanor and attitude had lured him in. Curiosity had won over reason and had found himself spending more time than he should with her. At every turn, she surprised him. And just when he thought she was nothing more than a cold blooded demon, she showed him a side of her that he never knew existed.
She awoke something in him. No matter what, he would win her back.
Finally resolved, Daren stepped out and dressed quickly. It wasn't until he was almost out the door that he noticed. . . she had never thrown his clothes out. They were exactly where he had left them. With the amount of anger she showed him today, he would have thought she would have burned the entire place down and danced on the ashes of the past. A smile tugged at his lips. Curious little demon, wasn't she?

  6. This was just fucking fantastic. Daren never ceased to pop up and change everything in Eireka's life. The demoness shook out her hand but it still stung from all the punches she threw. It was more than just the pain of the wound that made Eireka's stomach sink with every step she took farther from the angel.
Daren had been imprisoned this whole time. There was no other way to explain why such an important angel such as himself was out of the loop about the archangel sent to kill the demoness. There was no other way to explain the look of sheer terror within those eyes. Eireka couldn't deny punching the accursed angel in his gorgeous face was liberating at the time but there seemed to be a bigger and emptier chasm inside of her then there was before. Was it too late to take it all back for that embrace she was going to get before beating the ever living shit out of Daren?
Ugh, there again with the guilt. That's all you get when you fall in love, especially with an angel; just endless, fucking shame. Eireka kicked a pebble sourly with enough force to send it flying through tree branches and bark but it did little to alleviate the weight in her chest. She sighed dejectedly; maybe it was time to head back.
    "Feisty today, aren't we princess?"
Eireka nearly blacked out as an unexpected weight slammed against her back and reduced her face first onto the ground neath its crushing force. She grunted under the pressure but her limbs were like lead and all Eireka could do was tilt her head to face her aggressors. They reeked of an all too familiar scent of alcohol and filth and their malicious smiles did nothing to hide the nature of their identity. Eireka snarled at the unmistakeable flash of lust in each of their eyes.
"Oh, children, you have no idea what you're getting yourself into," she hissed, willing her body to move against the invisible force. When Eireka managed to inch forward after mustering nearly all of her strength within her power, the smiles collectively disappeared off of the demons' faces. One bold, brooding demon, however, stepped forward as he held a small artifact in his grasp. Obviously this one was the captain of fucking idiocy.
"Oh, but we do," the demon sneered, clenching the item tighter. Eireka restrained a cry as the pressure increased tenfold. "That's why we let the archangel do our dirty work for us."
The word "archangel" was starting to pop up more often in Eireka's life than ever before and even she had to admit, that was terrifying as fuck. At least this all made a bit more sense (or whatever sense there was left to make of this entire mind fuckery). Eireka should've known there was no such thing as "escaping" from an archangel. He let her go. But, as she caught the glint of silver within the demon's grasp, he didn't depart without leaving Eireka a little "present." It was elaborate as hell (seriously, who took the time to think this shit up?) but undoubtedly, angel seals were easier to come by then demon ones. Mainly because the feathered asshats were tight-lipped about the latter.
Captain Asshole grinned down at Eireka and jesus, the fucker could spare to brush his fucking teeth every once in a while. "You're not the only one with friends in high places, your 'Highness'." To the other three lackeys the demon barked his orders and Eireka was immediately imprisoned within their grasp as they forced her stone-like body to march onward.
Eireka had a funny feeling this whole charade wasn't solely about besting a child of Lucifer.

  7. Daren followed Eireka's trail easily. If huge beacon of pure darkness hadn't been enough, her scent would have lead him to her. Her's was so unique from anyone else. Spices. . .her scent was like every spice known to man. Ironically enough, her scent fit her personality perfectly.
He followed it further; suddenly, it wasn't just her presence. Several others began to join hers, nearly masking it with their foulness. Something was wrong.
Daren grew increasingly alarmed as he neared a spot where the scents seemed to conjoin. Anger threatened to over take Daren once more as the pieces instantly clicked together and before he knew it, he was summoning his sword, his sights turned towards Eireka's aura once more.
Demons. How dare they touch her? It didn't seem right. There was no way some demon would even grasp enough courage to attack Lucifer's child, much less kidnap her. No. . . this went much further. They had to have been offered a deal of some kind, guaranteeing them protection. The more Daren thought about it, the more he became sick to his stomach. It couldn't be.
He quickly shook the thought out of his mind as he neared the source of the demons. His eyes scanned the perimeter, easily sighting the guards that stood watch outside. He moved silently, blending beneath the dark, controlling every aspect of his movements, right down to the beat of his heart and the speed of his breath. In one swift motion, Daren brought down the main guard. He checked the locations on the others; satisfied that they had not noticed their fallen brother, he slipped inside the main entrance. He made it only three steps before a sharp pain radiated through his body, reducing him to his knees as his limbs grew heavy.
"For a warrior angel, I seem to find it . . . amusing you fell for a simple sin seal. Come now, you're stupidity is ruining all my fun." The voice sounded from in front of him but he paid no mind to the lower demon. His mind was more focused on the leader of the horde. Not because of the possible threat he was. No, Daren's blood boiled within his body as his eyes met the scene in before him. Eireka was strapped on a table, her hands and feet bound by chains. From the inscriptions within the links, Daren would assume they were demonic seals, created to channel and redirect a demons power away from the body. Which, would explain how they managed to even contain Eireka. But concern rose inside of Daren when he noted she wasn't fighting against them. Her eyes were focused on the ceiling above, her body laying perfectly still but the tension within her muscles was obvious. What had they done to her?
"I warn you demon, if you do not free her you will feel every shred of my wrath upon you and all of your miserable descendants." He said through clenched teeth. Calm. . .down. . . But the anger within him was blazing like a wild fire. Increased even more so when he felt two demons bind his hands behind his back and force him to move closer still to the center.
He kept his eyes trained on the demon who stood dangerously close to his Eireka. Watch every movement he made, making the demon choose his actions carefully.
"We'll see." The demon sneered before moving closer still to her.
Yes. . . we will see, won't we?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Eireka might as well have been nothing more than a breathing statue and even then breathing was difficult to do. The ceiling was becoming more and more irritating when so much was going on. Dammit, she should've known the fucking angel wouldn't listen and follow her, but could that bastard have spared whatever brains he had left to think that they maybe WANTED him to pursue her?
"Go on, girls," came that gritty voice of the head demon behind this operation. "Feast upon the angel as you wish."
Oh, like fuck they will. Eireka shifted her entire focus to moving and hopefully for all her efforts it would be more than tilting her head to the side so that she could stop fucking staring at the goddamned ceiling. She had little time; they could take him any minute and that was the final straw. Eireka's muscles tensed, combating the draining power of the chains as she miraculously found the leverage to rise, if only to her elbows. It wouldn't be her physical endeavors, however, that proved the most powerful.
"STOP!" The air chilled, shivering at the sheer ferocity laced within the demoness's voice. As much of a chore as it was, Eireka forced her gaze upon a group of female demons within inches of Daren. A deep and rumbling snarl rose to Eireka's lips and the group gradually eased their way from the angel's side. The only satisfying aspect of this whole ordeal was the look of utter frustration upon the head demon's face. He met her gaze for only a second before he motioned with a nod of his head to lackeys outside of Eireka's vision.
"Put her down," he growled. He was replied with a strained "No!" from Daren as demons lined up on either side of the table Eireka was strapped to. All equally disgusting and all equally foolish... and all heads were drawn towards the demoness who, even through the sluggish cloud of her powers being sapped right out of her body, cackled in a way that instantly brought tension to the entire room. Her audience did not remain silent to her outburst for long.

  9. "And just what the hell is so funny?" bellowed the head demon over Eireka's laughs. "Please, do share so that we may kill you in silence."
The volume of the joyous outcries only increased. "You think you can kill me? You, measly little PARASITES, 'put me down'?" She glared right at the demon, a wry smile lining her mouth. "Let me explain something to you, Captain Dipshit. The only thing you fucking imbeciles are going to accomplish here, and so for have actually accomplished, is piss me off! And if you DARE lay one slimy hand on the angel-" Eireka pointedly ignored the way Daren's body stiffened at those words "-you better find a god to pray to because there will be NOTHING that will stop me from hunting you down and gutting out your insides for me to bathe in." The cuffs binding her cracked ever so minutely, the flow of energy being drained lessening in response, and Eireka shook the chains for emphasis. "Do I make myself clear?"
Silence blanketed the chamber as each and every pair of eyes rested upon the demoness. Those closest to her sidled slowly away, their stances guarded and calculating. Eireka fought back a smile; the expression upon the head demon's face was priceless. Pampered little shit probably never had to lift a finger in his entire life and things were obviously not going his way.
He finally turned away from Eireka, a hand coming to his mouth as if in thought. The demoness took this opportunity to meet the one gaze that weighed the heaviest amongst them all. All the ugly emotions swam on the surface of those beautiful amber eyes: fear, despair, anxiety... it wasn't a good look for him. Despite the need to remain looking stern and confident, there was that small hope that, in their shared exchange of glances, Daren would be able to see the apologetic look in Eireka's eyes as the sight of bruises began to form on his face. She got him in this mess... So she just had to get him out.
"Well, then..." Eireka's attention was begrudgingly stolen by the asshole demon; the instinct to recoil was barely overruled when she found he was alarmingly close to her person. Not to mention sporting the most grotesque, suspicious grin she'd ever seen. "... I guess we'll just have to break the angel's little toy."

  10. The amount of anger that was badgering against Daren's defenses would have sent even Gabriel into a frenzy. The closer the demon got to Eireka, the more the fire grew until it was a fire so big Daren could not contain the snarl that broke free from his throat.
His response only brought a smile to the lead demons face as his hand traveled down over the fabric of Eireka's shirt. His gaze snapped to Darens, "I'm going to make you watch as I take her over. . . And over."
Daren's desperation grew as he was helpless against the demons advances. Eireka struggled more furiously against the chains, her teeth bared against the bastard.
"You fucking touch me and I swear-"
"What? You'll what, your highness? Any move you make and demons will descend on your angel so fast, by the time you break free there will be nothing left." The demon was getting cocky.Daren's eyes scanned the area, his mind already seeing possible escape routes and focusing in on any weaknesses the demons showed. If he could just-
The air was suddenly ripped out of his chest as a demon launched a kick to his chest. Another landed a solid hit across Daren's cheek, a ring on cutting deep as it did. His eyes slowly traveled up to face the demon who had struck him.
"Pay attention." It sneered. His lip curled, the demon's eyes reflecting nothing but the disgust and anger he felt towards him.
"To whom exactly? I do not plan to be held captive for much longer by you filthy vermin. Rest assured, I will take what is mine and leave. Nothing will be left of any of you." Daren spoke in their ancient language, obviously, the demon scum did not understand.
"Shut up." It growled as it snatched a fistful of his hair and used it to force his head down.
"Stop!" Eireka shouted, but another stepped forward, feeding off the confidence of lead demon. There was only slight hesitation from the demon at Eireka's command. But at the reassurance of their leader, it quickly vanished.
It amused Daren to see that they thought themselves safe. The actually convinced themselves that those chains would hold Eireka's wrath and that their seal would render Daren useless.
    He would gut them all.
Their laughter rang out once more, but before an attack could be launched at him, Daren moved to the side, dodging another fist and letting it land onto a demon behind him. Before they could move to restrain him, Daren forced his body upwards and slammed one of the demons to the ground.
"You foul little fool." His fist met soft flesh of the demons face. The ring of bones breaking rang over even the increasing hollers of alarm from the demons around him. They moved to take him, their hands grabbing at his arms to pull him away from the bloody body. He kept his ground, twisting his body to send the demons who had held his right arm stumbling forward. His small victory was short lived however when the demon next to Eireka yelled, "Enough!" He could have slain them all had not the effects of his escape began to settle in and with the addition of the seal, Daren found himself being thrown back towards the ground.
The demons ceased their advances before returning to their positions. Two necro-demons stepped forward and at the head demons command, forced him upon his knees once more. The demon turned his attention back to Eireka, the unmistakable mask of lust evident in his eyes.
"I'm going to make you pay for that, holy bastard." A sickening grin spread across his face as he raised a hand to caress her face. "I'm going to take her right before your eyes."

  11. Alright, Eireka had to hand it to the bastard demon, the fucker never left a single detail out of line. Even she would be a fool, however, to think that he made the wisest decision. Manipulative, yes. But there would come a day when their paths would cross again and, true to her word, there would be absolutely NOTHING to keep her from mauling the demon in every imaginative way possible. How dare he think she was just some dumb slut of a demoness! Yet, despite her best efforts, it seemed the only thing that was building was a searing pit of rage and fire in Eireka's stomach. Goddammit! She was useless! Powerless!
The head demon loosened a button on his shirt closest to the collar, his sights never leaving Eireka as he hungrily perused her body with his ugly ass eyes. She sneered at him in turn though he appeared not to notice. Obviously incapable of grasping the fucker's attention that maybe he MIGHT want to rethink his choices, Eireka glanced over at Daren, who was held vehemently in the grasps of two necro-demons. Dammit if she hadn't been turned on by his display of power but now it looked as though either of their chance to escape was dwindling. Unless...
The demoness's gaze snapped back to the head demon as he leaned over her to take his position. Ugh, god, she could throw up; his scent alone made sulfur seem like daisies. Well, if you had to sacrifice something for an angel out of love, Eireka supposed there really was no other way of getting around this.
With as much strength as she could muster to not let the bile in her stomach rise, the demoness leapt right into the demon's lips. He was unresponsive at first but eventually Eireka's coaxing was enough to elicit action from him. He deepened the kiss, commanding her mouth violently in his assertion for dominance. Every now and then Eireka let a small moan escape, encouraging the male demon even further until his control slipped and he pushed his hardened cock inside her. Eireka broke away from the union of their lips and tilted her head back as she dramatically groaned upon penetration.
As the demon took the opportunity to feast upon her neck, Eireka surveyed the audience of demons completely immersed in the sight before them. Pft! Predictable bastards; prey to their instincts like flea-bitten animals. For Eireka, however, it meant so much more. Already the grip of the two demons containing Daren loosened, if only marginally, but it was working. How long she had to keep playing along with this joke of cruel torture, Eireka couldn't say but, if nothing else, hopefully the damned angel would use that chance when it came to make his escape. There was no saving a child of the damned... and Eireka would curse herself if she allowed this mangy horde of demons to steal away her angel's light.
Eireka drew in a sharp breath as she felt her body build with an almost aching euphoria. God, when had she last had sex? Everything seemed so potent and amplified and it was a wonder she hadn't come upon that first thrust. Oh, that's right, because your precious angel is watching, you piece of shit. And dammit, Eireka would've done everything in her power to have this NOT happen but this was necessary for Daren's chance to escape and honestly, it kinda felt fucking good. She arched her hips and allowed to indulge herself as the pleasure increased, bringing her that much closer to release...
And then the demon stopped. His merciless thrusts suddenly ceased right as Eireka was about to go over the edge. A pang of anger coursed through her veins; did he dare stop granting her pleasure once he reached his own release?! It wasn't until Eireka's gaze met that of the ominously chilling leer resonating within the demon's eyes that her suspicions were confirmed. Fuck... this was going to be a long ass day.

  12. What. . . in. . . the. . . heavens. . .
Daren watched in utter silence as he saw Eireka lean into every touch of the demon. His mind warring in between anger and possessiveness and just plain betrayal. No. . . she should be doing that with _him_ not the demon. Every moan that escaped her lips was like another stab in the heart. A small part of his brain, the still functioning part, knew what she was doing. . . but it didn't help to ease the pain that she actually. . . enjoyed it.
He had to look away, he couldn't bear to see the filth take HIS Eireka in front of him. He certainly wasn't about to give him the satisfaction of having him watch the scene either. The Necro demons seemed solely focused in the moment until an exasperated growl sounded from her. Daren dared to look, the demon had stopped, at first, he thought that they were done but he was ignorant to the matter. For some reason, Eireka seemed angered by the male and it only seemed to amuse the demon. He waited for several minutes, the hushed whispers of the spectators beginning to wear thin on Daren's mind and if things couldn't get any worse. . . The damned demon started once again. This time, the only thing that he felt was pure hot rage. The bastard thrusted into her over and over again. Those cursed hands touching her, eliciting moans and gasps, each sigh wrecking havoc inside of Daren. And then. . . the damned demon stopped. He did this over and over, each time only made Eireka angrier and drove him even more over the edge!
How long did he intend for this to go on? How long would he have to watch Eireka's face reflect the pleasure she took from the situation?
Whenever he made an advance, the necro demons quickly turned their attention to him. The anger of his distracting them from the scene only brought on their assaults. "Hold still, angel." One hissed into his ear, which managed to to actually cause Daren to shake from the wrath he was so desperately waiting to rain upon them.
The more time passed the more frustrated he felt. He was helpless, might as well have been with his light fighting feverishly against the seal and his body weakening with it.
He had seen the endless torture that Eireka was going through. Over. . .and over. The worst of it all was that there was no way to tell the amount of time that passed. No light penetrated the dark putrid building, the only form he could tell from was the ache of his muscles.
Time could have stopped and he wouldn't have noticed. The demons amused laughter grew louder and louder as he noted Eireka grew more and more desperate. Her features were drawn almost in pain, blood seeped through the metal bonds as they dug deep into her wrists and ankles from the strain she was putting on them.
The deep rumble of a laugh rose from the demon taking her. His ugly feature betraying the amount of pleasure he took from watching Eireka fall apart underneath him. "Not so tough now, are you, Princess?"
"Fuck. . . you." She spit into his face.
"Isn't that what you have been doing?" The bastard chuckled, his yellow eyes turning to meet Daren's straight on. "How long will it take for her to beg for it, I wonder? I think she's close. . . " Those eyes held the promise of a challenge, never leaving Daren's as his filthy hand traveled down to Eireka's center.
"Don't you fucking dare." Daren's voice surprised even himself. It no longer sounded like his own, it was laced with every single drop of ire and frustration that he felt at the moment. He was about through with the whole situation, done. He could _feel_ something dark and sinister begin to take root inside of him and no matter how much he fought to keep that sin of wrath at bay. . . he was losing the battle.
"What are you going to do?" The bastard's finger slipped inside of her. Her hips turned to meet his advances, her lips parted to give way to her heavy breaths. "Beg for it, baby. . .beg and I'll give you what you want."

  13. This goddamn, fucking son of a bitch was going to die! Forget fucking waiting to torture the bastard; Eireka was going to slay him the minute she got free. She writhed helplessly under his touch, no matter how raw and numb she felt; ANYTHING to make the pressure go away. Eireka shivered, her body absolutely soaked with sweat and the foul smell of sex tainted the air. God, she was going to be sick. The putrid scent, along with the fact that she was at the mercy of this fucker of a demon, nearly had Eireka gag on her vomit. Her ankles and wrists were worn down practically to the bone but struggling on proved to be more draining than making any real headway.
Eireka drew close to release, her muscles screaming in protest as instinct took over to arch her hips in her anticipation of the climax. She pushed against the restraints for as much purchase she could get from the incessant rubbing. But Eireka's limbs shook like leaves and her breath hitched as her heart rate accelerated and before she knew it-
"God-!! Damnit, you filthy ass fuck!" Eireka shrieked as she fell limp upon the table once she felt the sensation stop once more.
The dipshit only cackled in his amusement. "Not quite, babe. Let's try that begging thing again, shall we?"
The head splitting, conjoined laughter of Eireka's audience was deafeningly annoying as it was infuriating. Eireka took the few minutes she was allowed to come back down from the buildup to gaze at the spot where Daren was, and if her throat wasn't sore from the amount of screaming she'd being doing she'd be fucking screeching at that stupid angel to just make a fucking run for it already! Jesus fuck, how much longer would it take for the bastard to get the fucking hint??
Eireka managed to take two more deep breaths before the demon went back to work. Dammit, if her mind wasn't clouded with the fervent need for release, it would be a hell of a lot easier to evaluate the state of the head demon. All Eireka could ascertain was that more recently the pace of his "torture" was slower than it had been at first. Whether or not that was a sign that he, too, was getting exhausted was difficult to tell; for all Eireka knew, the son of a bitch was probably just bored with the manner he had been using.

  14. The demoness banged her head against the table and gargled out an exasperated cry. "Son of a bitch!"
    "Not any better."
Daren, goddammit, what in the ever loving fuck are you waiting for?!
    "B-bastard!"
    "Try again."
If that angel was somehow getting of on this, the first thing Eireka was going to do when she got free was-
    "F... fuck!"
    "Almost there, doll."
Mother of all that was holy, just-
    "No... no!"
"That's it, baby. Scream for me."
Eireka closed her eyes and turned her head away, the knots tying so tightly in her stomach that they would never be able to come undone. Her pride and dignity dashed beyond recognition and her body pushed to and exceeding the limits of durability, it was a wonder that Eireka hadn't lost sight of why she was doing all this shit in the first place. She opened her eyes, the sight of her angel both disheartening and comforting. The surface of his beautiful eyes portrayed such despair and anger and pain... and Eireka was responsible for every single emotion surely toiling away within her precious angel. And yet still he stayed, even if it was because he didn't have the power to escape... but dammit, if Daren did and that bastard angel wasn't going to make the effort to preserve his own life and light then he might as well-
"... h-help." The plea was not even so much as a whisper as it was a whimper. The word felt strange upon Eireka's lips but there was nothing left to lose and desperation was beginning to make her eyes sting in attempt to fight back treacherous tears. "... Help," she groveled out louder, her brow scrunching together and her lip just shy of quivering. Eireka couldn't do anything for Daren anymore, if she had been doing something in the first place. So pride be damned, damn the world... damn herself.
"Please..." Eireka screwed her eyes shut at the hyena-like laughter erupting around her; each and every one finally witness to a fearsome demoness's will break at last.

  15. Help. . . . please. Those words rang in his mind like a heavy echo and it was all he needed to find the strength to break free. The necro demons stood no chance. Daren's elbow smashed into the knee of the demon to his right, the bone snapping at the contact. Before the other one could react, Daren was up on his feet and slamming the demons skull into the ground.
"Shit! Stop him!" The head demon screeched and Daren all but laughed at the fear that laced the demons voice.
"Not so tough now, are you?" Demons lunged at him in all directions in an attempt to over power him. He struck fast, his mind all the while attempting to call his sword to him but he could not muster the strength. His light was still weakened by the seals effects, he was going to have to fight them all without it.
He didn't skip a beat as he dodged the grubby hands of the demons and struck back, taking down several at a time. "Stop him! You stupid idiots, stop him!" Daren's sights were set on the head demon, a growl emanating from his throat as an eagerness he could no longer control over took him.
He will relish in the feel of the bastards blood run down his arms. It was almost as if the demon knew what was in store for him, their eyes locked only this time, the tables were turned.
The searing pain of a blade cutting into Daren's abdomen did nothing to deter him from his goal.
He turned on his heels and dropped kicked the demon who dared advance on him. His hand grasped the weapon that protruded from his body and without so much as a wince, he pulled it out. His eyes held a challenging stare to the remaining few, a wicked grin lined his features.
"Come then, let me keep my promise." The demons exchanged worrisome glances before making a dash for the exit.
Oh, no you don't. Daren flipped the blade in his hand and launched it across the room, smiling as he heard a loud crunch as it imbedded itself in a demons skull. The other demons screeched in fright, and honestly, the sound of the female's screams pounded against Daren's skull. Silence... he needed to silence them.

  16. He intercepted one before she reached the exit, his gaze held no forgiveness or remorse as he twisted her head with a brutal snap. The others scrambled even faster away from him, but they never got far.The last two soon dropped like flies when Daren's hand pulled out their wretched throats in a fluid movement.
All that was left now. . . was the bastard who took his Eireka.
He turned slowly to face the demon who now cowered in fear beside Eireka. His eyes reflected nothing but a panic as he searched for some way of escape, but there would be none for him.
"You. . . took her." He took a step forward, his golden gaze raging like molten lava. "You tortured her." Another step still. The demon whimpered, and in all attempts to save his life, he took hold of a knife from one of the corpses and held it against her throat.
"Don't c-come near me. Just l-let me go!"
That was the very last action that Daren would allow against his demoness. With ever bit of strength he could muster, digging into the very depths of his power, he summoned his heavenly sword. Without so much as a warning, the sword cut through the air and hit straight home. The demon gasped as blood poured out of his chest. He stumbled away, his eyes wide in shock as he stared down at the glowing blade that began to burn hot at his presence. In a single second, Daren stood before the demon, his hand taking hold of the hilt. "I will gut you where you stand. . . and mount your useless piece of shit of a corpse outside of my home." Yes. . . yes . . . something dark purred within him. The air grew chilled as he began to draw the weapon down slowly. . .
"D-daren . . ." Her voice sounded somewhere in the back of his mind. . . "D. . .Daren?" No. . . no she was here. . . Eireka. As if he were snapped out of a trance, Daren jumped at the sound of her voice. His eyes searched around the room as if lost.
"Flyboy. . . it's ok." That immediately had Daren pushing away the demon and turning towards the table she was bond to. "Eireka." He moved quickly to release her from her shackles as tenderly as possible. His mind cursed every demon in who had done this to her when he saw the dried and new blood that encircled her slender wrists. It took him everything he had in him to look upon her blue eyes and not break down.
He wanted to say something. . anything but he was at an utter loss for words. Instead, Daren gathered a cloak worn by one of the demons and wrapped it around Eireka's naked body and drew her into his arms.
    "H-hey. . . no.. no hard feelings. . . right?" The head demon spoke up. He. . . still . . . dared. . . to speak to them. No hard. . . feelings?
Without turning to the shameless bastard Daren spoke, "I will hunt you down. You better hope you die today because I will not rest until you and every single demon that carries your blood in their veins are slain and sent straight back to hell." With those words, Daren gathered what little strength he could muster and took Eireka far away from the accursed building.

  17. The world was lost in a sea of colors and light, the latter of which burned Eireka's eyes the moment they were outside the building. Warmth enveloped her body, contrasting the deathly cold of her skin. Against her better judgement, Eireka receded closer into Daren's embrace and closed her eyes. The chilling winds pretty much negated the heat from the sun's rays and Daren's stunted walk was the icing on the cake.
Without opening her eyes, Eireka mumbled hoarsely, "... Put me down, Daren."
"No," was his immediate reply. Eireka flinched at the harsh tone in his voice. Of course he was mad. No, he was furious and honestly, to expect anything else or anything less was beyond foolish. It didn't matter that what Eireka did at the time was supposed to help, that it was the only thing she could have done in that situation. She did first and foremost what every demon in the history of mankind was known for being: cruel and unyieldingly savage.
Eireka opened her eyes, which were at once consumed with the sights of dark green foliage surrounding her entirely and shading them both from the sun. "... Daren-"
    "I said no, Eireka."
    "I'm sorry."
That nearly had him stumbling in his tracks but, after a slight pause, he continued forward without saying a word. It didn't help alleviate the ever deepening pit of emptiness growing inside Eireka. Perhaps to spare her some words and to fill the tense silence, the voice of Eireka's beloved angel, rough yet still as sweet as before, finally cut through the air. "Listen, Eireka..."
The following, all-encompassing quietness proved more than Eireka could bear. "Fuck, Daren, do you know what you've done to me? I was actually fucking WORRIED, okay, the whole time you were gone and it took everything I had to convince myself you were somehow still alive. I didn't know what to do, I've never been in a situation like that so I just ended up venting my frustrations on you and damn it, I'm sorry. And then you had to sit through that fiasco back there like fuck, how much more perfect could that day have gone right? You didn't deserve any of that and I just pretty much poured all the ingredients for a tequila shot game into that wound and... fucking hell, Daren, I'm... I'm really-"
"Eireka," cut in Daren's soft voice. "Are you ever going to let me talk?"
The demoness bit her lip and remained silent. Apparently having spent the last of his energy, Daren came to a stop at last and gradually set Eireka down on the cool forest floor. He sat down across from Eireka, who averted her gaze instantly. What else was she going to see in those beautiful honey colored eyes that didn't already make her cringe in despair?
"Why didn't you take the chance to escape?" Eireka asked, the spite in her voice small underneath the crushing weight of the pain radiating throughout her body. Everything stung, everything burned, and still she somehow found the courage to meet Daren's gaze. His eyes were guarded, a mixture of emotions that Eireka couldn't name. She couldn't read him. "Answer me that first."
His ever calculating gaze exchanged focus from one of Eireka's eyes to the next but whether it was out of curiosity or incredulity, he never showed it. "You know why."
Eireka had to fight back a sneer and masked it with a sigh. "Dammit, Daren, I'm a demon. You can't save demons, that's part of the nature of being one. Besides..." She paused, feeling the weight beginning to set at the truth of her next sentence. "... You matter more to the world than I do."

  18. Daren remained quiet. His eyes moving away from Eireka's to stare at nothing in particular on the forest floor. The silence between them stretched out but Daren made no move to break it. He was tired, so exhausted from . . . everything. He wasn't going to fight anymore, he didn't want to. That decision had been made the minute he escaped his captivity from the Archangel council. He chose his next words carefully, knowing they would either alarm Eireka or cause her more grief. He just hoped she understood why he had chosen the path he was taking now.
He took a deep breath to gather his courage and slowly, turned his eyes to the beautifully soft blue's of Eireka. She never moved her stare from him, her eyes shimmering with concern as she waited for him to say something. He couldn't help how his heart skipped a beat every time he looked upon her. The fiery red of her hair, though messy, was still had the most striking contrast to her pale skin and light eyes. She literally had no idea just how drop dead gorgeous she was, no idea that she could have reduced Daren to his knees from the very first day they met had she wanted to. And still, she had no idea that Daren would go through all of Hell's rings and back just to see her smile. He smiled, his gaze softening as he looked upon his fiesty little demoness. It truly hadn't mattered when he made his decision or even if he had chosen to fight his fate. Daren already knew, he belonged solely to Eireka from the moment they met.
"You're right. I do, much more important. The whole fate of the creatures I'm sworn to protect, rests on my shoulders. You're a demon, the most hated creatures in existence. Despicable, lying, deceitful creatures whom I swore to destroy." Eireka blinked at him, her eyes flickered only slightly from the unshed tears in them, but she never turned away from him. "You above all else, spawn of the greatest traitor in existence. . . and yet. . . I don't care. I can't bring myself to believe any of it." He willed his body to move, despite its protest, until he was kneeling in front of Eireka. His hands moved to encase her face, his thumb wiped away her falling tears. God, how vulnerable she was right now. His strong willed demon was falling apart before him and it only made it all the more difficult to speak without his voice cracking.

  19. "Eireka, you are the only reason I'm here. I could have let the council take me, I could have given in and stayed in heaven, far away from you but . . . I can't. I have chosen my path, I don't care about the world. I love you, little troublemaker. I love you." Eireka stared up at him, a stream of emotions crossing her beautiful gaze. Each one leaving her more and more speechless until Daren couldn't take it anymore. He finally did the one thing he had been dying to do since he came back from his confinement. Daren took Eireka's lips into his, his arms coming around her in a possessive hold, his heart racing a million miles an hour as he ventured where he never dared to before.
She struggled at first, startled gasps slipping out of her luscious lips as she tried to stop him. He knew what she was trying to do; stop him from making him a mistake he won't be able to take back, but he wanted to show her his mind was made up. He wanted to be with her so bad it burned his blood as if pure lava were coursing through his veins. He wanted to love Eireka, and he wasn't going to let anything stand in his path to finally have and possess the stunning demonness in his embrace.
He shifted his weight, allowing both of them more access to each other. His touch was gentle as it traveled downward to her hips. The most amazing sound came from her, enough to have Daren shiver against her, as she began relax. He didn't stop her when he felt her hands reach underneath his shirt, he only trembled against the feel of her wicked hands running over his chest. . . down lower. . . and lower
As if realizing what was happening, Eireka jumped. Her hands reached up to brace against his shoulders as if to push him away. "D. . . Daren. . . wait."
    "No, Eireka. Not this time."
