Trouble

It was all he could do to keep his anger at bay. He was not allowed to feel this wrath boiling within, so he took great precaution in finding calm before finding Eireka.
He rolled his shoulders, craned his neck from side to side and with a heavy breath he jogged up the stairs, or at least what was left of the stairs. After the attack of that creature last night, the castle looked more like an ancient ruin now. Still won't stop Eireka from .... He couldn't finnish the thought, in doing so would surely reawaken that fury that was turning deep within himself.
It didn't take him long to find the room where they resided. He simply followed the strongest stench of sex and alcohol. He thought he would be able to handle the sight. He should be used to it, he hunted countless demons, many of whom he caught "in the act". But this only ripped through him and beyond his control, he exploded.
They were on the bed... well at least two of them were. The other seemed to have been shoved off. They were unconscious now. . . probably from the exertion. Eireka laid on the bed, her breaths soft and peaceful... So he surged up next to her bringing her up effortlessly.
"Hey! What the fuck!" She screamed, scratching and kicking him with all her might but he was unfazed.
"Shut up Eireka and stop fighting me, I am NOT in the mood."
"The fuck if I care! Let me go, fly boy, or i will rip off those pretty little angel wings, one by one." Her threats met deaf ears, he was past being lenient with her. Anytime he was, he always suffered.
And as he walked down the degraded stairs and out a near hole in the wall, the familiar dark presence purred at his reaction. He instantly thwarted the force but he had to question why it was rising almost frequently now. When ever he would feel anger, lust, when ever he was at such a proximity to Eireka...
Great, now you've let a demon get into your mind.

  1. Nice wake up call. Though she would have preferred if Daren had decided to participate instead of pouting. Gods, the face he made when he was in a sour mood almost made up for the fact he was dragging her stark naked out of the half-destroyed house. Strange, she hadn't heard anything suspicious to hint at the building's destruction... then again, her ears had been filled with the screams and moans of the boys who were subject to almost constant orgasms. Oh, and with the both of them together, they did not disappoint in granting her every last drop of sensual pleasure she wanted... and more. Honestly, in all the years she'd been sexually active, she never would've guessed anyone could fit two cocks in one hole. Hey, you learn something new every night.
After walking about a quarter of a mile, Eireka snapped back to the situation at hand and planted her feet firmly on the spot. Daren continued to pull, the most uncomfortable feeling of her arm nearly being pulled out of her socket irritating the demoness.
"Hey, you stupid fuck, that hurts."
"Walk," he ordered coldly, not even sparing her a glance as he spoke. Was pretty boy really telling her what to do??
Eireka tsked. "Go jump off a bridge, it'll make you feel better... Trust me."
Wow. Talk about opening up a can of worms. Seriously, what the hell just happened? He tilted his head slightly, as if tempted to look her straight in the eyes, but he was hesitant.
Awkward. She shifted her weight to the side. "So is this it?"
    "Is what it?"
"Oh, so you haven't decided to finally grow some balls and kill me?" Really, this wishy washy bullshit was starting to get annoying. Sighing, she threw her head back in frustration, staring blankly at the light blue hue of the morning sky. Just end it... She closed her eyes and bit her lip, cursing to the gods above that she was even thinking this next part... Before I start falling for your dumb ass.

  2. Go on, you know you want to comfort her.. He was absolutely torn between hating and loving the woman. Ah, but that was just it, the latter would only cause pain. On top of being a completely stupid thought and notion. So then logic left hatred, something clearly not felt by him. Then why not end her life? He spared her a glance, her eyes were averted, turned towards the sky. It was then that he realized her nakedness. His heart beat jacked up a couple of notches.
Double sin, yep, you're going to hell. The small voice in the back of his mind was not enough to avert his eyes. God... you're beautiful. It was when her gaze snapped to his that he realized that he had said it out loud. A satisfied grin appeared on her face as she noted the small blush that now surely spread across his face.
"Damn it, Eireka lets just go." He turned back to his cold demeanor and turned, pulling her with him.

  3. Oh yea. Hell on Earth, right there. This angel will be the death of me. She trudged lazily in his wake, the muscles in of his gripping arm especially taut. But she knew at the slightest caress, it would turn flimsy on the spot. Gods... he was smitten.
"You know, you didn't answer my question," Eireka teased. His pace remained steady, not even honoring her with a cock of the head or sigh of frustration. Oh? Playing hard to get, huh? She smirked.
"Where are we going?" Still nothing. "Give me your coat at least, I'm freezing." Nada. Ugh. Cute only gets you so far, sweet cheeks. Once more, she stopped but his stroll was set and he tugged her arm with greater force than before, reducing her to her knees.
"Ow, you ass!" Violently, she reeled her hand away from him, glaring intensely into the deep, wonderful, sky blue... Stop it. Just. Fucking. STOP. "I'm not a child and you're not my mom, so chill the fuck out already. Jeez..."

  4. "Then stop acting like one." He mumbled as he stopped. Without looking at her, he removed his jacket and tied it around her waist. He then removed his shirt, nearly smiled when he heard her gasp, and paced it over her head to cover her torso.
"What are you-"She yelped when he suddenly scooped her up in his arms and walked on, ignoring her cursing and an array of insults.
    Just, calm yourself Daren.. breathe...
"And why the fuck did you kiss me anyway?!" He stopped. His eyes still would not look into hers. Damn, this wasn't awkward at all.
    "Answer me, chicken wings."
"Stop it Eireka,I am not going to talk about it."
If looks could kill... Eiereka's heated gaze had him shifting uncomfortably.
"Come on, tell me." Her voice had changed now. It did not hold the anger it did before, it was now playful. He groaned, this is going to be hell... he was surely paying for his sins now.

  5. Fucker was such a kill joy. Had the nerve to torture her as he held her close to his beautiful, unblemished bare chest yet he couldn't answer a stupid question about the kiss. Pft! The man was impossible. Yet she could not help it as her hand lightly and nonchalantly stroked his shoulder from around his neck as the heat radiating from his skin intensified the cold on the bare side of her body. Her eyes returned to those godforsaken golden pits that were his eyes, the hard exterior belying the soft angel she knew existed within.
He huffed a heavy sigh, his gaze never wavering from hers. "You don't need to know." As good as a confession. Typical man.
Eireka closed her eyes in frustration, fighting back the urge to sigh as well. "Put me down."
    "You're too slow." Oh?
"Then off me already. I should think that would be a no brainer." She crossed her arms adamantly, staring at the passing scenery with great intensity. Anything... Anything to keep from letting the damned angel have his way with those innocent eyes.
"Do you honestly have a death wish?" His tone was almost aghast, but strained, as if he had to remind himself as the sentence was half spoken that he was dealing with a demon and therefore should restrain from showing compassion. It didn't go unnoticed.
Eireka humphed. "You don't need to know." The scenery came to a still, the air stagnant from lack of movement, and she mustered every bit of strength to combat the call of his marvelous gaze. This time he could not mask the concern, however small he tried to convey it to be. Oops.
"So the bridge thing was from experience, I take it?" Aha, yea. Good luck going down that road. Snapping her eyes away from his, she leapt lightly from the warmth of his arms and began walking at nearly the same tempo Daren had set earlier.
"Look who's slow now, fly boy," Eireka called back coyly, snickering as she glanced back to wink at him. "Now hurry up."

  6. And for whatever reason, whatever force pushed him forward to appear in front of Eireka. She let out a startled gasp which was quickly cut off by his lips. Oh, he knew it was wrong. He knew that this was plain lust, plain sin, but for once he didn't care. It could have very well been his downfall if that strong pull to remain pure did not stop him before it got too serious.
Eireka was left breathless, her gaze narrowing to his before she out right slapped him. Though he should have reacted more aggressively, Daren found himself grinning with a slight sense of satisfaction.
"For an angel, you sure know how to fuck up." She sneered at him, which in his eyes was cute.
"You have no idea what we get away with." He should have walked away then... but he didn't. Daren's body seemed to have already decided to burn in hell and condem the world to pain and suffering. Daren pulled her closer to him. The feel of her breasts through his shirt sending small tremor through his body. His lips captured hers once more, more urgent, more needing.
"What. . .the.. hell?!" She got out through quiet gasps but he didn't stop... he couldnt. She was so alluring, so desirable. She was a demon, but she was one hell of a sexy demon.
Yes. . . the dark voice purred. .. yes. And he couldn't stop himself, this time he didn't want to fight it. He was surely losing himself to this woman and he did not care one bit.

  7. Oh, my... He was completely and utterly cruel, the way his soft lips tightly grasped her own, how his arms wrapped securely around her waist. Her fingers tangled in his smooth locks as her body pressed against his with blatant enthusiasm yet he did not shy away or attempt to desist her actions. Odd. It was enough to cast the smallest shadow of doubt; nonetheless, she pressed on, believing at some point he'd shut down and push her away as he always did. Really, how much could he get away with? But when he ran his tongue slowly across her bottom lip and a delicate hand reached down to her backside, Eireka's eyes flashed open in shock. She nearly melted at the sight of him and how passionately and serene his face was. So loving...
God. He had given in. Every atom in Eireka's body screamed at her to take him, the demon nature slowly rearing its head for control. She tugged handfuls of his hair, her mouth dominating his in pure lust, with heavy arousal running down her thighs. He was so gentle against her violent advancements that it near drove her insane.
"Take me," she gasped, claiming his lips once more as she rubbed her hips snugly into his. He gripped her tighter, every move he made slow and cautious. Why was he being so meticulous? And like the sun rising over the horizon, it finally dawned on Eireka what he was doing: He was loving her. Love...
She broke away from his lips calmly, panting to catch her breath, all the while Daren searched blindly for her mouth. She observed him, shutting down completely, waiting until he showed her the confused gold eyes still glimmering with passion.
"I don't fall in love, Daren, I fall in lust. Keep that in mind next time you want to seduce a demon."

    ReplyDelete
  8. Of course she didn't. To love was to play ones self into a position that left them at the complete mercy of the other. But Daren would never hurt her, he could't, and that was the answer to her earlier question. He couldn't and wouldn't hurt Eireka. He would still not admit to himself it was because of love though, no. He would never hurt her, but he could still not be sure about her intentions. She was a demon. . . she was a ruthless killer. The night at the motel proved it.
"That's just it, Eireka, I don't lust." His gaze held hers, unwavering and firm. "But you have a point, I apologize for my advances, I lost my control. It happens quite frequently whenever you are involved." She opened her mouth to say something but he cut her off, "I know you can, and at the risk of sounding like a mortal. . . you will. Just not with me." His eyes hardened as he finally looked away. He was stupid, he knew, stupid and weak. He would pay for having sinned, there was no question in that.
"Oh, fuck you." She pushed past him, but Daren remained there. A twinge of fear surfaced within him. What had caused him to break so easily? That dark force that pushed him to take her. Why her? He made a note to investigate the matter further and after several moments he turned to follow Eireka.

  9. Pft! What did he know? Fucking angel lived in a world of flowers and rainbows. The day she fell in love would be the day she fucked a unicorn. How the hell did she get stuck with the angel again? Was easier than being on the run, but the option sounded more appealing than ever right now. Getting as far away from the frivolous angel was a must. The clothes he'd given her reeked of honey and cinnamon and she was starting to dislike it greatly. She made a point to remind herself to break into a house and confiscate some clothes ASAP. Ugh. What a fucking wonderful morning.
It didn't help that, in addition to being super pissed, a subtle sense of nausea was starting to set in. She was hungry. What sounded good? Something like... ooh, passion fruit. Dark purple in color, yet it had the brightest yellow core and tasted delightful. Damn, now she was craving some. She'd have to break into a house with passion fruit while on her clothing quest.
Her head shivered and for a moment she lost continuity with the scenery as it ever so slightly shifted, making her stumble. The ground shrunk away; Eireka had to lean against a pole and scrunch her eyes shut to regain her balance. The fuck just happened? She never reacted this badly to not having sex after being passionately aroused... Then just what the hell...?

    ReplyDelete
  10. By the time he caught up to her she was leaning heavily against a light pole. He all but dashed to her side.
"Eireka? What's wrong?" His voice was calm, though inside he was a mess of emotions.
"Yea, I'm fine! Just get the fuck away from me." She shoved him away but he was indignant. Clearly she wasn't fine and he would be damned before he would leave her in pain.
Once again he scooped her into his arms, this time his grip was a little tighter in order to keep her from squirming in his grasp. The fact that she did not fight him as violently as she should have caused his concern to grow.
"Its alright, my little troublemaker. We'll get you somewhere safe" He took a minor sense of satisfaction when she let swing more insults and curses. It should have angered him but instead, he found it strangely reassuring.
    "Hold on tightly."
"wha-" Her voice was cut off as he tore through the air and up into the sky, his wings spreading wide to catch the wind.
"Holy fuck! Can you freaking give me a.. heads.. up" He glanced at her, noting she looked very much nauseated. He apparently had to find a place soon, she wasnt going to make it the trip back home.
He tracked down an abandoned house, landing gently onto a porch. It looked completely disgusting, and he had half a mind to turn around and find a more suitable place to rest but Eireka had other ideas. She jumped right out of his hands, landed a good blow to his jaw before hunching over and throwing up.
"You bastard. Next time, I kille you.. stupid son of a bitch..." she mumbled and cursed under her breath as she made her way inside. The conditions inside were even worse. Who could live in such filth?
He turned his attention back to Eireka and met a frightening glare. "How about you find me some fucking decent clothes."
Daren didn't bother arguing with her, he merely nodded and left. It was a mindless act, buying her clothes and food, though he had to admit, he took a little more time than anticipated on choosing her clothing. Knowing she wouldn't like anything feminine, Daren got her something simple, but expensive. He didn't know why, he just did.
I wonder if human males do this... Of course they did, he answered himself. They were creatures of material possession.
By the time he got back to the house, his arms were full with delicious, and expensive, foods and clothes. He almost looked forward to giving her these things until he heard her screams. Instantly Daren became alert, his senses immediately looking for threats or other demons.
"Eireka?!" He rushed inside, not even noticing that he dropped the goods, his mind fully focused on her. She was on the ground, curled on her side, tear running down her face, blood pooled around her. Her hands were clutched around her stomach.
Every scream, every cry tugged at his heart and he was at her side within a flash.
"What's wrong? Eireka, what happened..." But he knew. How stupid could he be! He should have sensed it before, he could have but didn't. She was pregnant. . . "was" being the key word.
"You. . . " he couldn't say the word, the fact that she had sent him into shock. An array of emotions consumed him. Confusion, anger, mostly anger. His mind repeated one mindless word, why?

  11. Damn... the man had the worst timing. Eireka swallowed, attempting to conceal the pain yet the betrayal of small whimpers and moans was inevitable. The worst was over with, though she was not looking forward to the psychological fuck up this would do for the new few weeks. It was a maternal instinct to mourn a lost child, but relief would be prominent in the end. To carry a fetus so soon after conception implied a compatible species impregnated her. One of the boys must've been demon.
"Eireka..." His voice cracked, anger and disbelief clouding the beautiful glory of his eyes. He knew. Of course he did, but to put it in words would only seal the painful truth. That she was truly the monster she was born to be. Yes... a monster that self induced abortions. The lowest of the low.
His eyes darted between either of her eyes, desperately searching for the reason why. She avoided her gaze from his as much as possible as she spoke.
".. I don't have any children to call my own... and... I'm not gonna start now." She closed her eyes to better hide the array of emotions now arising within.
    Leave, fly boy.
    I can't watch you go.
    I'm a monster.
We knew that from the start.
    Fucking pregnancy hormones.

  12. His movements were robotic, simply drawing her to him gently. He wrapped his arms around her, comforting her as best he could. He shifted slightly so that her head rested on his shoulder, one arm supporting her back while the other rested on her stomach. His hand began to glow as he began to heal her, taking away the pain that he knew would be almost unbearable.
"No! S-Stop!" She struggled in his grasp but he ignored her simply answering her, "Relax, I'm only taking away your pain." That seemed to be enogh to calm her until he finished. Then, they just sat there. Eireka was curled snuggly into him, Daren held her almost protectively in his arms. It was several moments before he mustered up the courage to ask her.
"Eireka? This wasn't your first. . . was it?" When she didn't answer him, he knew. It wasn't.
"How many, Eireka? How many before?" His voice shook slightly as his throat constricted. In knowing how many times she had done such a deed would reveal how many times she had been hurt. . . all the pain she would have endured during her lifespan. But again, she didn't answer.
"Damn it Eireka, answer me." His voice was firm, no longer holding that soft, caring tone. Still no answer. . . He kissed the top of her head, holding her tighter, wishing he had been there to take her pain away.

  13. Alone. Every time it had been when she was alone, left to lie there in the pool of her dead spawn's blood. Her first was at the tender age of eleven, and when she had found out she'd panicked. Her body reacted accordingly and within the span of several hours it was gone. It had been her solution ever since. Dealing with the mourning afterward each time was like dying a little on the inside. She had pulled her stunt dive of the bridge years ago after her third. Not to kill herself, still too fond of herself for that, but the act certainly made it easier to cope afterward.
    "Eireka," came Daren's voice imploringly.
Two were incomplete abortions, one of which caused an infection... One had been dead before it was induced out of the womb...
Daren sighed heavily in frustration and Eireka cut him off before he could speak.
    "Twelve."
It was silent. It was ominous and cold and, though she knew he was struggling to keep his anger in check, Daren remained equally calm and quiet. Damn... he knew how to destroy a woman. To make her feel like the most beautiful, wonderful creature in existence... only to drop her from the high pedestal into the void of nothingness. She was worse than a monster, she was worse than trash. She was nothing. And for once, it hurt. Hurt to admit that she cared. That she cared it was Daren who would see her as nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  14. They sat there in silence... He knew he should say something to her, ,comfort her somehow but, twelve? The number rang through his head. Twelve moment of pain and agony suffered alone, he was sure. Eireka was not the type to accept help from anyone. He didn't know how to react. All these questions... and suddenly. It didn't matter. It was not her fault, and he was not in any position to judge her.
His hand caressed her face, gently taking her chin so that her head tilted up to look at him. Those gorgeous eyes shimmered with such longing and pain, such passion and fire. He placed a tender kiss on her lips, slow, loving. His kiss trailed down from her mouth, to her neck. His breath was even and calm. He wasn't lustful like before, no, this time, he kissed to make her forget, to let her know she would never face this alone. And she would never do this again.
"This is the last time Eireka," he whispered softly against her throat, placing another kiss to it, "I don't care if you curse me, if you push me away. You want an answer to you question earlier? I can't kill you. I won't. I care for you." A hand ran careful circles along her back. "I kissed you, because you are simply irresistible. You're troublesome ways draw me in with such a force. I can't let you sleep with another male. . . i won't" His grip around her tightened only slightly, possessively.
    "You're mine, Eireka."

  15. Fuck, where was the unicorn she was supposed to be screwing? If it had been any other man on any other given day who spoke those words to her, she'd have slapped him a good one. She didn't belong to anyone, wasn't some trophy to be awarded to the winner, but strangely... there was the oddest feeling of fulfillment hearing those words from Daren's lips. Her heart beat feverishly, her limbs feeling light as a feather... Of all the things to fall for, it had to be a fucking angel. A lovely, romantic, perfect angel at that. The skin where his plush lips brushed and kissed tingled like sparks of flame, the feel of his silk blond hair ran softly through her fingers, and the golden honey hue of his eyes commanded her with such resolve.
She placed a gentle hand upon his cheek as she calmly took his lips, building into a passionate kiss. The fire and conviction was different; it was not in lust she soon realized, but out of need. In his eyes, his lips, the sweet caress of his hair, the angel seemed to fill a void she never knew existed. It was almost enough to make her forget the pain and loss from earlier and that all that mattered was being here in Daren's arms. Eireka smirked. Talk about dooming your fate.
"I knew... you were trouble... when I first met you," Eireka mumbled in between breaths. Daren grinned, which elicited a small smile from Eireka. She wished she were better at conveying things with words like he was. He couldn't kill her because he cared.
I didn't want to kill you either.
He kissed her because she was "simply irresistible."
    Ditto, Fly Boy.
He was drawn to her troublesome ways.
Your goody-two shoes thing is kind of a turn on, too.
He couldn't let her sleep with another male.
You're so cute when your jealous.
    "You're mine, Eireka."
She wasn't a trophy, she didn't belong to anyone. No, no, no... she belonged to Daren. And, for whatever godforsaken reason, she didn't mind one bit.

  16. She stayed there in his arms for what seemed like an eternity, her quite breaths indicated she had fallen asleep. Her head was resting against his neck, a delicate hand against his chest. Her face seemed serene, peaceful. He could have stayed there right there , with his beautiful demon in his arms. . .until a sense of danger overtook him. His senses became alert, picking up several demons approaching the house. No, their signature's were different. These were Time Demons.
"Eireka. .. " But she was already up, her eyes searching her surroundings.
"Well fly boy, looks like we've got company." They stood, back to back, readying themselves for any trouble the demons might bring.

    ReplyDelete
  17. "How dull," rang a grizzly female voice. Eireka held her breath, noting the slight disturbance in the wind as the Time Demons seemingly apparated several feet away from them. There were two, both female, one brunette who's hair was tied up; the other's was long and silver. The both of them were dressed like complete skanks, armed with nothing more than their devilish beauty and poor excuse of clothes. The brunette spoke in that rough voice, indicating she was the one who spoke before: "I smell demon." Eireka snarled threateningly.
The silver tsked. "A Time Demon. Though... I'm picking up traces of angel, too."
"Yes, yes, you're both are very astute," growled Eireka. "Now get the fuck out."
She glanced toward Daren, who's hand ran ominously over the hilt of his sword. "I would highly recommend you do so," he added, gripping it slightly.
The brunette glared, but it quickly turned into a devious smile. "Cute. We're looking for a Luka Lanterogue. He is a Time Demon, as we are. We've tracked his scent here-"
"Oh, for fuck's sake. If you're really Time Demons, you fucktards would know he's not here. Or you're just phonies." There was a time and place to let your cockiness get to your head, but Eireka soon remembered that doing so in the presence of a Time Demon was not wise. In the time it took to blink, the silver disappeared from sight; Eireka's only clue to her whereabouts being a pressure on her back as the silver stood behind her.
"You've got a big bark for a small bite," whispered the silver and once more, she disappeared. Fuck. And quite suddenly, as a flash of the Time Demon's silver hair danced across Eireka's vision, she fell to her knees feeling as though a thousands blows were being pummeled simultaneously onto her body. Pushing past the pain as she spit out a watt of blood, her demon senses picked up another apparition between her and Daren and the ring of his sword being pulled from its sheath resounded through the air. The faintest breath of wind blew as the woman disappeared once more; Eireka wheeled instantly to catch the blade of his sword in her hand, her heart pounding as the tip hovered inches from her cheek.
"Careful, Fly Boy. They know how to play dirty." The smell of burning flesh suddenly arose as the purifying powers of the blade seared her hand. She flicked it away, what looked like a third degree burn ran in a straight line across her palm. Ugh. She REALLY didn't like Time Demons.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Time demons. They were amongst the most tricky to fight. The fact that he had to take extra care with Eireka around, or else risk accidentally hurting her, only added greater risk.
"Come on, you two are boring us." He heard female laughter around him,Eireka huffed in frustration as she backed closer to him.
They weren't going to win this one. Eireka was still weakened, and he wasn't about to risk her getting hurt any further. He sheathed his sword and placed a firm hand around Eireka's waist.
"What are you-" Her protest was cut short as a barrier surrounded them, preventing the demonesses from attacking any further.
"Oh, that's playing dirty little angel." The two surrounded the protective orb, though they seemed extremely uninterested.
"Lets get out of here, we've got bigger fish to fry." The silver haired female flipped her hair nonchalantly as the other female scuffed in impatience.
"Fine. But you guys better watch your backs." The other female winked playfully before both disappeared.
Daren never relaxed though, he knew time demons were notorious for their tricks.
"Hey, Flyboy? If you keep squeezing me like this I will punch you in that pretty face of yours."
"Oh, sorry." He released his grip on her. He watched her go through a small tantrum cussing the females. If he could, he probably would be doing the exact thing she was. Now, the only question was. . . who was Luka? And what did the poor sucker do to attract the attention of such hostile time demons?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Jesus fuck! Cocky ass bitches; how dare they land a couple of blows, humiliate them, and then up and waltz away!!! Mother fucking Time Demons can kiss my ass! She kicked the gravel furiously, anxious to give them a piece of her mind the next she saw them and she was banking for that to happen. For some odd reason, the name Lanterogue caught Eireka's attention, mostly because it sent ice down her spine the more she dwelled on it. Lanterogue... she'd known someone before with that name. By the way it gave her the creeps, so far Eireka wasn't liking the Luka boy who might be connected to him. Way to spoil a day.
Her hands reached underneath her shirt but found with subtle shock and distaste that she was still in most of Daren's clothes and therefore wouldn't have any cigarettes. Come to think of it... she'd used her last one days ago anyway. Ugh. Great. No cigarettes, bunch of slutty ass Time Demons, and an abortion all in one day. Up there with the day at the motel... Eireka glanced back over at Daren, who seemed lost in thought. The wind gently tugging at his golden locks as the honey hue of his eyes rested pointedly at the ground... Okay. Maybe it wasn't SO bad.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well, there was no point in just standing around was there? His gaze turned back to Eireka's clear blue eyes. It was then that he noted her staring right at him. The depths of her eyes hiding her emotions and any thoughts that she could have on the situation they faced.
"What now, angel?" Her voice still slightly shook from the anger he was sure she was feeling now. And with good reason, those time demons were a force to reckoned with and he'd be damned if he didn't feel a twinge of spite himself. . .
Yes. . . The dark presence once more resurfaced. Daren closed his eyes, concentrating on pushing the force down. He had to take greater care with what he felt and how he acted, it could very well end with his fall. . . and the end of the world with it.

  21. Ugh. Fucking fantastic. All that was left of this horrible day was receding back into the house to calm down but Eireka wouldn't have that. The frivolity of the Time Demons bugged her to no end. First they show up, asking about a Luka Lanterogue, before deciding to take their leave... The fuckers had foresight, they wouldn't have needed to show up at all. They'd have known Luka wasn't here at the time and that she and Daren had zero connection to him. No, they showed up because they wanted something... either to fuck them up good or actually obtain something... or someone...
"Hey... Flyboy," Eireka cooed. She was upon him in the amount of time it took for him to open his eyes, her face inches from his own as her hands gripped his taut, bare shoulders. The shock froze him where he stood but it lasted only for a moment before he regained his composure.
    "Wha-?"
"Shh." She held a finger to his lips, a hand traveling slowly down his abdomen. His hands were automatically at her shoulders, ready to push her away. "Relax, Flyboy. I just need something from you. Don't get... excited!" Within a second's time, she gripped hold of the hilt of Daren's sword and pulled it from it's sheath, swinging it around as it met the flesh of the brunette Time Demon. She leapt away, a deep cut lining her arm as the purity of the blade made it smoke. The snarl of anger lining the woman's face slowly turned into a wicked grin, seeing as how even the handle of the angel's sword was searing Eireka's own hand.
"Flyboy! You know how to fight?" Her gaze was focused completely on the woman and so was unable to see the shock and aghast expression on his face. She continued without an answer. "The silver's all yours. Sorry, but I'm going to need this."
"You can't kill us, even with a sword forged in heaven," spat the brunette. Her voice was really starting to tick Eireka off.
"No, but I think you know how badly this baby can fuck you up." Eireka's smile mirrored that of the wicked grin shared with the brunette before leaping into battle.

  22. He watched as Eireka seemed to dance with the sword. Her movement were fluid and graceful even as her attacks were deadly and precise. . . or at least, they were meant to be. Every attack dealt was evaded in a mere blink of an eye, the demon's influence over time clearly taking a toll on Eiereka's endurance.
Before he could think, he found himself moving towards the demons, only to be brutally reminded of his supposed opponent.
"Forgetting something pretty boy?" He spun to face the silver haired female, only to meet the icy sting of pain as she maneuvered a drop kick.
He landed several feet away, not even given the chance to stand for within the instant the female time demon had his arms pinned above him, a cocky smile playing across her fair features.
"Maybe, I'll just take you now, save the little demon runt some trouble." Daren stared at her, his features not once revealing any hit of emotion or movement. The fact the offered no resistance to her avances seemed to strike her as odd, her brows began to draw down in confusion and it was then that Daren struck. As quick as they were he had her pinned underneath him, her arms pulled tightly over her back.
    "Not likely."
"Daren!" Eiereka's voice drew his attention away from the female just in time to see the other poised to strike. Damn it, his only option for a defense was to block. . . but the blow never came. Eiereka struck down the sword in time to catch the dark haired demon on the shoulder.
"Stupid bitch!" She shied away from the next swing, her eyes now fully focused on her adversary.
It was then he felt it, that familiar feel of the air thickening, each passing moment it became harder to breathe. The movements of his body beginning to slow, the slight electric air that began to sizzle around him. And as quick as it came, it left. In its wake was a eruption of pain from several newly added wounds to his side, arms, and chest.
The silver haired woman stood just beyond his reach, her arms over her chest as her claw tipped fingers dripped with the crimson blood.
"Is that all you have, babe?"
It was wrong to feel pride, or arrogance. . . and yet Daren couldn't help feel a bit cocky as he smiled at her at the exact moment the heaven bound seal took affect on her body.
Both demons fell to their knees screaming, their hands clutching at their heads as they fought back the pain that surely erupted through out their bodies. It would begin slow, dull at first, and then spread until it was unbearable and consuming. Of course, it wouldn't kill them, but in Eiereka's words, it would fuck them up pretty badly.
"Damn it, flyboy! Heads up much?!"
"Sorry." He mumbled as he flashed to her side, his arms wrapped around her waist as he made their escape. This was a battle better left alone, one that would only end in endless blood shed. He was sure they would meet again. . . and when they did, he would be better prepared. For now, his first priority was to get Eiereka far away from the wretched place.

  23. "Would you put me down and stop with the hero complex?!" Eireka bellowed, struggling in Daren's grasp. The smirk on his face pissed her off; none of what she said or did irritated him. She might as well be barking at a tree for all the progress she was making, which only ticked her off more that it was wood she couldn't claim.
    Why not?
Pft. That brunette slut was a fucking drag. What, did she talk on every opportunity that she could, even in the middle of a goddamned fight? All she did was spout some cryptic bullshit Eireka already knew.
'Come now... do you honestly think he cares for you? He's an angel... and your the daughter of the damned. You will always carry the burden... of loneliness!'
Jeez. Cliché, much? Psycho bitch was off her rocker for sure. Duh, Daren was an angel and herself a demon. Yea, they were polar opposites and his soft side sometimes annoyed her to no end. Like she gave a damn about any of that. If she wanted to break the stereotype, what stopping her? Sure, okay, tapping his ass meant his fall and the apocalypse. Which probably meant, for her, abstaining for the rest of her life. Ugh. Okay... starting to see the downside.
    "Eireka?"
She turned her head to him, drawing out from her train of thought. "What?"
    "You got quiet."
    "So?"
He shrugged, finally letting her down on the ground. He'd taken them close to the edge of a certain town, the people bustling about frantically on a market street as the day near approached high noon. None of them paid her or Daren any mind; they must be human. Well, it wasn't as though they didn't draw a few heads; after all, Daren was still shirtless and she was still in nothing but his shirt and jacket. But at least the curious glances weren't hostile like a mythical's would be once they sensed the presence of an angel and demon.
"Here." Daren took both her hands, a warmth radiating from his own as he began to heal the burns left by his sword. She wondered when she was going to get a lecture about borrowing his sword for combat, if at all. Using that baby proved helpful, still hurt like a bitch to wield it. Maybe it would be a last resort thing. He brought her hands up to his lips when he was done and planted a small kiss (I'm going to kill you one day for this, I swear, thought Eireka) before heading towards the town.
"Hey, Daren." He turned back toward her inquisitively. Seriously, that innocence was a killer. Eireka smirked. "No shirt, no business, Flyboy." He cocked his head curiously, the pondering look of his sweet honey colored eyes soon turning to shock. He was so adorable the way he tried avoiding sin. Eireka hurled the shirt at Daren as it collided humorously into his face. She snickered as she wrapped his jacket around herself, but just slowly enough for him to steal a glance. "You're good now, Angel Cakes. Hop to!"

  24. Now he knew why she was his temptation. Sure this was why he had been sent to end her. Everything about the demoness lured him in; her vibrant eyes, her dark crimson hair. The very fact that his thoughts were beginning to become consumed with the feel of her body against him when he drew her into a kiss. . .
"Hey. . . hello! Earth to Angel, get moving!" Deterred from his thoughts, he nodded absently before letting her lead him. . where?
"Eiere-" Her name but just left his lips before she disappeared into a small shop sandwiched in between a Subway and what appeared to be a gym.
"Finally!" She reappeared smiling as she held a packet of cigarettes.
"No." He swiped them from her and held them just above his head.
"No. . . bad angel." She kicked at his shin in an attempt to get him to drop the pack, but to no avail.
"You're not to have these . . . " He turned to look at the pack and scrunched his face in disgust, "these cigarettes. They are harmful and-"
    "Give them to me!"
Spectators around them began to laugh as Eireka slammed her fists onto his chest, kicked, anything to get him to let her have them. It was a bit amusing, but he didn't waver, with a single thought those cigarettes dissipated into dust.
If looks could kill. . . he was sure he would be long dead. Eireka huffed, turning back towards the shop to buy another pack when he took hold of her arm and moved past it.
'' I'm . . . seriously thinking about killing you right about now."
"Really? I'm thinking about something else."
"Oh?" She purred. Oops, he hadn't meant to sound like he was thinking about that, but of course, anything he said to her would relate to sex.
"No Eireka, not that." As they walked in silence he noted the looks and stare of many of the human males. Each of them lingering momentairly on Eireka before quickly glancing away, and when they thought they weren't looking, he felt their stares draw back onto Eireka's backside.
It shouldn't have bothered him. . . but it did, and each time it happened Daren sent them a small punishment. . . after all, it was sin to lust after another's possession.
The thought made him pause, a frown slowly lined his face. Possession? Eireka wasn't his to possess and she certainly was not object either, but stil, the fact that he thought of her so easily as his put him off. He knew he loved her, he had even admitted it, perhaps this then came with the claim?

  25. "Umm. . . you're dosing off a lot. It's kinda pissing me off really.''
"Sorry." He offered her an apologetic smile before kissing her briefly on the cheek.
It was then that the air shifted, the clouds seemed to form an odd shape as they hovered directly over them. Daren grew still, his senses becoming alert as he sensed the aura changing around them.
The Archangels. They were summoning him back to heaven. You know why. . . yes, he did. He had disobeyed them, worst being he had practically laughed in their face when he decided to proclaim his love for the demoness. He knew he had to pay, he had just hoped he had more time.
"Eireka," He turned to her and drew her in a fierce embrace. As if she sensed his disquiet, she pushed away from him to look into his eyes.
    "What's wrong?"
He shook his head as a bit of sorrow overtook the depths of his eyes. He didn't want to leave her, not like this. Time. That's what he wanted, and oh, the irony of the fact that they had just fought two time demons not moments ago.
"I have to go for a bit. I do not know when I'll return but. . just. . . take care of yourself, troublemaker." His smile was forced as he brought her hands up to press a kiss to. "You may use my home. It's fully stoked with any foods you would like. Anything else there is cash for." He slid his keys and adress into her hands and turned away, summoning a portal just beyond an ally way.
"Whoa- Hold on. . . hey... hey! I'm talking to you. You can't just leave!"
"I know, I'm sorry Eireka." With that he turned and vanished, ready to face his punishment without regret.

  26. What in God's Almighty fucking name just happened? That angel had major mood swings, honestly. It wasn't like trying to coerce him from killing her wasn't part of her plan by being with him, but Eireka hadn't fully foreseen the impossible that had occurred. Not a week ago she would've rejoiced with Daren finally leaving her be, but hell froze over now and Eireka couldn't help but feel concerned for his welfare. It was just a regular human town and there weren't any indications that mythical creatures lurked amongst them... at least, as far as Eireka could tell. Damn, that was really irritating.
She sighed, clenching the piece of paper and the keys in her hand. She couldn't follow him and she didn't even know where to begin searching. Why go after him at all, jeered that inner demon? Eireka sneered. Because... that fucking perfect angel loves me... and he owes me a shit load of cigarettes.
'Come now... do you honestly think he cares for you? He's an angel... and your the daughter of the damned. You will always carry the burden... of loneliness!'
Oh my fucking god. If I ever meet that bitchy Time Demon again, I'm going to rip her intestines out and use them for whips. Ugh. Anything to keep the annoying brunette demon off her mind Eireka trudged over to the nearest pedestrian and with one forceful knee to the stomach reducing the man to the ground, she leaned down to retrieve his cell phone.
"Sexy!" called a human male from afar as he beckoned her by whistling. Ignoring the temptation to rip his head off, she nonetheless turned her attention towards now a group of males ogling her. One of them cockily clenched a lit cigarette between his teeth. Jackpot. Whipping her hair to the side in a seductive fashion, Eireka rose back up to her feet and walked towards the group.
"You boys like what you see?" She winked, causing the gullible humans to go stir crazy. Pft, this was too easy.
"Excuse me," called an authoritative voice. Eireka's eyes flickered to her far right finding a local policeman approach the scene, positioning himself a fair and equal distance between her and the group. "Is everything alright over here?"
Eireka rolled her eyes but humored him with an endearing smirk. She forgot how much fun she had without Flyboy always on her tailcoats. She advanced towards the policeman, disregarding his warnings to draw his weapon against her if she didn't stop. He drew it when she became mere feet away from him and in the same instant Eireka quickly took possession of it. Amused beyond hell to see the humans squirm against a weapon of their own creation, she once more approached the now cowering humans. She glanced at each of their petrified forms before finally resting her gaze on the one male right in front of her.
She titled her head coyly and motioned to his cigarette with a small jerk. "Got a pack I can light up?"
He swallowed nervously as he reached cautiously into his jacket pocket and pulled out a new pack of cigarettes. He slapped them into her expecting hand and, after several moments of tensely gazing at one another, relinquished his lighter as well.
"Good boy," Eireka cooed, pocketing her newly acquired items as she turned to take her leave. She walked briskly with a cigarette already lit between her lips and the cell phone in her hand as she typed Daren's address into the GPS application. It was time to stop taking detours... and start the fucking party.
