He surveyed the scene. Blood covered the walls, bed, it dripped from the ceiling even. A fire was burning , perhaps to erase the evidence? No. Demons did not care for that, they enjoyed watching as their "work" was witnessed by the humans.
He glanced at the human that lay splayed on the bed. Slowly he realized the male (or once male) had been . . . He shivered.
He ran a slow thumb over the hilt of his sword, knowing already that this demon would put up some fight. She would probably be a vicious beast, one with a merciless heart, if she had one. He turned to leave suddenly hearing an array of curses coming from outside. Curious, he stepped out immediately his gaze landed on a small female. She was yelling at a box she held in her hand as though it would respond her.
Instantly he knew, thats the demon?
He turned to face her and as he did so she turned to face him. Her eyes found his and she eyed him suspiciously. Daren tensed, ready for a fight when the female raised her eyebrow, "Oh fucking fantastic. . . what the hell do you want? Did I forget to pay you? Damn. . . maybe I can pay you some other way. "Her lustful gaze ran up and down Daren's body. He stood his ground, this might be more difficult than I thought.
She lit her last cigarette, sensing the heavenly light within. She could practically smell the essence of his virginity saturating from his body. It displeased her greatly; really, how can anyone STAND abstaining?
ReplyDelete"Are you Eireka Kuro?" he called, the chimes of blissful grace pounding her ears. She puffed a smoke and spat on the ground. His voice hurt her ears.
"Who wants to know?" she asked, tapping the cigarette to be rid of the ash on the end. She snickered in satisfaction as he wrinkled his nose at the stench of the fumes.
"What IS that you are inhaling?" he asked appalled as he coughed. Oh fuck the world for the innocence of angels.
"Tabacco. I'd lend ya money to get some, but I think my dough burned up with my clothes." She cackled delightfully as he froze in shock. Oh, yea. This bastard was definitely entertaining.
Daren was absolutely astonished that this demon had not been killed earlier. He drew his sword, running it lightly against his hand.
ReplyDelete"Oh, ho? Getting a little cocky there?" Eireka said. Daren was never the type to show off, in fact, it was a sin to do so. But her cockiness was starting to bug him and he wanted to get this over with. With a flick of his wrist the sword sliced her cigarette in half. A dangerous expression passed over her face.
"You really shouldn't have done that."
She appeared behind him, grabbing the sheath of the sword from his waist. He turned swiftly in place, the blade clanging with the metal of the sheath. He frowned in frustration and pushed harder down through the sword. The demon threw a forward kick into his stomach and he hurled backwards. Landing upon his feet, he charged quickly toward her, sword poised for action. Just as it appeared he would thrust through her defenses into her heart, he vanished. And several moments later, the moment he reappeared behind her, Eireka's coat was shredded in various places all at once. He turned back, disappointed that she was able to see his attack to avoid drawing blood. His gaze became that of utter shock as he realized through the slits of the coat that the demon was completely naked underneath.
ReplyDeleteShe shifted to the side, her head tilted toward him with a malicious smile adorning her face, and her left breast valiantly exposed. "So eager to get underneath my clothes, aren't you?" she teased, throwing her head back in delight. "Keep this up and you might fall sooner than you think." She winked.
Daren hissed as he drew his gaze away from her. He dodged her attacks easily as she attempted to take advantage of his not being able to look at her.
ReplyDeleteSwiftly he caught both her hands, pinning her against the wall.
"Oh? Eager?" He was unfazed by her words, but when she began to lean in closer to him he jumped back.
"I dont have time for your ridiculous games. Clearly you will not die anytime soon."He eyed her, a deep hidden part of him that wanted him to fall purred softly. He shook his head. Keep it together Daren, you will not fall.
"So you are going to run away?" A wicked smile adorned her face.
"No, I am merely going to find a more tactical way to kill you. Until then, enjoy your life for your days are numbered."
"Would that number happen to be 69?" She laughed momentarily, but was quickly silenced as she noticed the angel looking quite perplexed. Pft! Typical. He turned to leave and she tisked in frustration. "Forgetting something?" Glancing back, he saw as she threw the sheath for his sword over her shoulder and she tapped it lightly upon her shoulder. A satisfying look crossed her face as his portrayed that of utter annoyance.
ReplyDelete"Hand it over... now." He pointed his sword, situating it between her eyes. She rolled her eyes, disappointed that it wasn't the only thing being pointed at her.
"No dice," she replied. Daren poised himself to thrust the sword and in the same instance the fabric of her cloak danced as she pulled from an inside pocket a fully loaded hand gun. Pointing it also between his eyes, she cocked the barrel of the gun as she flashed him a small grin. "... Unless. If you want to live, you'll agree to take me with you. If not-" She shifted the pistol to aim slightly to the side of his head as she fired a round at a nearby crow, killing it instantly. He flinched at the noise and his gaze was cautioned as she slowly repositioned it back to between his eyes. "So what'll it be?"
He opened his mouth to answer; she cut him off, "Don't forget, your sorry angel ass owes me a cigarette. You're gonna kill me anyway. Might as well know where I am at all times..." Her slow, demonic smile sent shivers down his spine.
How dare she threaten him with a human weapon. With a swipe of his hand the gun turned to dust.
ReplyDelete"You should know better than to think a human weapon would hurt me." Yet he could not help as short moments of time he saw through the shreds of her coat. He swallowed. Her laugh indicated she had caught him.
"Looks like I don't need a 'human weapon' to get your attention." Daren stared blankly at her.
"What will it be angel?" She insisted. It. . . would. . . be a good idea to keep an eye on her, though to have her constantly at his side could jeopardize his other missions. He did not know what possessed him to answer so, but nonetheless he said, "Fine. But you stay close to me. No trickery. . . and do not even dare think about attempting to make me fall. I will kill you on the spot. understood?"
She merely smiled at him, Daren felt as if he had done exactly what she wanted.
"You're a real trooper," she cackled, relinquishing the sheath to him. He took it from her hastily, his gaze avoiding her person. Honestly, the innocence of angels... "What's your name, fly boy?"
ReplyDeleteHe caught himself trying to shoot her a glare, perhaps knowing he wouldn't stop himself from taking in her body as he did so. "Daren," he mumbled, turning to leave. She hastened to catch up with him, her hands behind her head as she walked.
"How ya plan on paying me back, Ren?"
He stopped abruptly, concentrating to keep his gaze on hers as he turned to her in a bewilderment. "My name is Daren."
"Oh? Good to know that bothers you, then." She laughed wickedly as he sighed, once again taking his leave with the demon girl tailing close behind. She grimaced delightfully... Perhaps today wasn't the worst day in her life after all. Ha!
